I took the day off from work yesterday while my mom had some stuff to get done. I used the opportunity to make all of my calls for my first appointments.
My initial consultation with Medi-Weightloss is this Friday at 10:15AM. I’m getting more nervous about that, because first of all they give you injections. There is one weekly injection in the shoulder that I think is required. That has all of the vitamins and other things you need. The other injection is optional…and seeing as how it’s in your hip/butt area, I may just opt out of it. It’s supposed to be an energy booster shot.
And second of all, one of the other women, Janice, emailed today after her first Medi appointment and said they told her she’s not allowed to have any breads, pastas or cheese this first week, and she has to eat fish. Oh boy. I wonder what they’re going to tell Vegetarian Me?! I’m scared. Really, really scared!
My first appointment with Taylor Fitness is scheduled for this Friday at 6:00PM. He sounds like a really nice guy, congratulated me on winning and everything. I just hope he doesn’t kill me. That’s all.
I emailed the other two women to see if we can get our mani/pedi appointments together; we’re still working on that, but one of the women is going out of town next weekend and we have to redeem the certificate for the mani/pedi by the 12th of November so we may not be able to go together.
AND – the “Meet the Winners” article posted today! You can read it here. It was also in the Orlando Sentinel in the Sports section today (big surprise for my uncle to see his niece in the paper this morning, never mind the fact that it was in the Sports section - me in the Sports section is almost an oxymoron).
Well…starting this Friday, I’ll be jumping in with both feet. And hopefully not landing flat on my face...or my butt. Is it really a great idea to start this whole thing at the beginning of the holiday season? I might be dumb.
