Oh HAI!

You know, I started a style blog because I felt like I really don't have enough things to write about. But then sometimes I just want to write about my girl and the fact that she's awesome.

We started soccer last week. She's having a good time, surprisingly. I only say that because she tends to get annoyed when people don't give her the ball, so I figured after the first two weeks that she wouldn't find it fun anymore. The last week they split the group into two teams and the other team ended up with the two kids that have apparently taken at least one other season of soccer. One of those kids, the girl, stood across the field taunting, "We already made three goals!"

I'm thinking, listen chick, you're FOUR. Your "goals" don't mean anything right now. But I restrained myself.

My daughter, however, put her little hands on her hips and yelled back, "Well THAT'S because you wouldn't give us the ball!"

Oh that girl. She just doesn't understand that she's supposed to steal the ball. Because stealing is wrong, right?

Heh.

For those of you that followed my Medi journey, I have to admit I think I've gained some of the weight back. I can't fit into some of my clothes again.

However...I'm exercising at least five days a week, eating pretty well (though not at ALL as little as 500 calories daily!) and just generally trying to be healthier. I want to be an example to my daughter.

What little steps do you take to live healthier?

  1. Hey lady, I remember this blog!! I just read your last couple entries and I was thinking, I think I remember reading this...and the I checked the comments and SURE ENOUGH, there was a comment from me. :)

As for the Medi journey and gaining back weight. I know exactly how you feel. Every since I started this weight loss journey I have been losing weight or holding steady. Well, I got on the scale two weeks ago and I have gone back up - almost 10 pounds. And it freaks me out. I do not want to be fat again. And I think that the problem is that working in the office by myself I get bored and I snack. I have become more aware of this recently and am trying to cut it BACK out. The other problem is that my MIL has been cooking again and she cooks like a "good southern woman out to cook" with oil and frying and butter and bacon! I just don't eat like that and haven't since I started this journey. So, now that we are getting so much fresh produce from the farm I am taking back over the kitchen!!! And...I am back to drinking A LOT Of water again. I have a cup on my desk and every time it gets empty I get up and put more ice and refill it with water. The water helps a lot.

  2. I know the feeling all too well about pants not fitting again. I'm failing at doing anything about it, but I have heard that even if you exercise now, just add 5 more minutes/day. Do something additional and it will help.

I think my solution will be to buy new pants. I'm probably going to order new red pants this week.
