Wait...I have a blog?!

Who are you again?

Oh right!  You're my blog. I kind of forgot about you. Sorry.

(Yes, I'm apologizing to technology. Pity me.)

Let's catch up, shall we?

In February, I hit my goal weight.  Or rather, what Medi said was an okay goal weight for me to go on maintenance and I just went with it because frankly, I was hungry.

Since then, I gained about 3-4 pounds in water weight.  WATER.  Not fat.  I don't know why I have such an issue with water rentention but since that's all it is, I'm not gonna mess with it.

About a month ago, I started doing the Insanity workout (courtesy of my sister-in-law Kathy and her husband, Geoff). Holy. Cow. I really thought that guy was going to kill me at first. But I stuck with it, didn't give up and at my most recent Medi check-in, I lost 1.5 pounds of FAT! I also lost 1% body fat and my waist went down from 39.8 to 39. Yay Insanity! And that was with taking off almost the entire third week because of a stomach bug.

That wasn't fun. I also missed my Fit Test due that week so I have no idea what progress I made in the first two weeks.  I did the Fit Test again as scheduled on Monday and I improved on every single exercise...except the switch kicks.  I think I might have cheated the first time around that I did them so my number this time was more accurate.

Or something...

In other news, I started a fashion blog!  Disclaimer: I am in NO way a fashion expert.  I've just started to read some fashion blogs in the past few months and it's become a lot of fun for me to try new things and attempt to get creative with the items that I already own.  Not to mention the fact that I've discovered the joys of thrift and consignment stores!

If you're interested in that sort of thing, visit my new fashion blog at http://aworkingmomscloset.blogspot.com/ At the time that I'm typing this, I'm still waiting (and have been waiting for about 20 minutes) for my pictures to upload so that I can publish my very first post.

Grrr.  What the heck, Blogger?  Upload my pictures! (That'll show 'em.) Aha! It worked!  Post published.  Whee!

I have a question, how do you know what's water retention weight gain versus, real weight gain??

  2. The only reason I know is because of the scale that they use at Medi. It can calculate water weight vs. fat weight and it calculates body fat percentage and whole plethora of other things that I don't pay attention to. :)
